The Department of Family and Juvenile Protection is probing Thursday a teacher's actions depicted in a circulated video where she seems to be assaulting a child with disabilities. The case has been referred to the judiciary.
A spokesperson from the Public Security Directorate said that the Family Protection Department started investigations into a video circulating on social media since Wednesday.
The center mistakenly posted the video on its social media page yesterday, Wednesday, before removing it. In the video, the child is seen being slapped and yelled at after struggling to pronounce a letter.
The spokesperson stated that the child's identity was determined through investigations, and both the child and their guardian were summoned to the Family Protection Department.
Meanwhile, the teacher and the center's director were also summoned, and the case has been sent to the judiciary for legal action.
