The Minister of Local Administration Tawfiq Krishan Monday stated the government addressed demands raised during its provincial visits.
Krishan noted the constitutional mandate continued despite skepticism about the possibility of reform, Speaking at a government meeting in Zarqa, Mafraq, and Central Badia.
He highlighted the second term success of provincial councils in achieving previously unattained progress, while acknowledging that municipal legislation posed barriers that needed governmental amendments.
Krishan praised King Abdullah II’s efforts in advancing Jordan over the past 25 years (Silver Jubilee), emphasizing the ongoing journey of achievements despite challenges, including Israeli Occupation's aggression on Gaza, regional political shifts, welcoming Iraqi and Syrian refugees, and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic among other challenges.
He reiterated the commitment to support and enhance development and progress across Central Badia and all of Jordan, aiming for stability and prosperity for all citizens.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, Krishan emphasized that Jordan's stance was non-negotiable.
Meanwhile, President of the Amman Governorate Council Ahmad Abdallat stressed the need for financial law amendments to improve local infrastructure and citizen services.
