The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) arrested six drug dealers in Mafraq, Irbid and Ma'an over the past 24 hours.
During these raids large quantities of narcotics and firearms were seized, according to the media spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate (PSD).
The six drug dealers were arrested in relation to four different drug-related cases, he added.
Two cases were in Mafraq, the first of which involved two drug dealers who were arrested after their vehicle was chased. A total of 2,000 narcotic pills and seven slabs of hashish were seized.
In the second case, 15 slabs of hashish and 2,000 narcotic pills were seized after two drug dealers were tracked down and found in a vehicle.
After collecting information about one of the drug dealers in Irbid, his house was raided and a total of 23 slabs of hashish, 2,000 narcotic pills, 250 grams of 'Joker' powder, 100 grams of crystal meth and two firearms were seized.
A drug dealer in Ma’an was tracked down and found in his vehicle in possession of narcotic substances. He was arrested and a total of 2,000 narcotic pills, a quantity of hashish, one firearm and a quantity of ammunition were seized.
