Wednesday, a Palestinian pilgrim was injured as a result of a traffic accident on his way to perform Hajj.

Sources from the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs told Roya that one of the pilgrims was injured when a bus that was transporting Palestinian pilgrims crashed into a vehicle in the Tabuk region.

The pilgrim was injured in his hand and a number of others suffered from bruising, all of whom were taken to a nearby hospital.

Notably, Palestinian authorities earlier announced that Jordan received 2,000 Palestinian pilgrims from the West Bank, Gaza Strip and occupied territories, via the King Hussein Bridge.

Jordan is expected to receive Wednesday and next Friday 3,300 Palestinian pilgrims, bringing the total to 5,300 Palestinian pilgrims.
