EU's Michel says bloc seeking 'stable and mutually beneficial' ties with China
President of the European Council Charles Michel Thursday said the bloc was seeking a "stable and mutually beneficial" relationship with China.
This comes as he kicked off a summit with President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
"We are united in being committed to the pursuit of a stable and mutually beneficial relationship with China," Michel told Xi in opening remarks.
He added that the bloc wanted ties based on "principles of transparency, predictability and reciprocity."
