The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced the commencement of the extensive 'Safe Winter' campaign, aimed at enhancing precautions against accidents during the winter season in Jordan.

The campaign will be executed by the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD), Central Traffic Department, Media Directorate and other relevant authorities.

As part of this initiative, the PSD initiated its annual traffic inspection campaign to ensure the vehicles' readiness for road conditions during the winter season.

The traffic campaign involves examining and inspecting vehicles by patrols deployed on internal and external roads.

Vehicles that pass the inspection will be given a sticker to be placed on the front windshield as an indication of readiness.

In case of any technical issues, vehicle owners will receive a notification (without penalties) for ten days to rectify the situation.

Failure to address the issues within the specified time will result in penalties for vehicles that do not comply with safety standards.
