The Qassam Brigades thwarted the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) attempt to invade the depth of Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, as reported by Al Jazeera Friday.

Citing a field source from Al-Qassam, Al Jazeera said a large number of IOF vehicles were destroyed on the outskirts of the camp.

Earlier Friday morning, the Qassam Brigades announced that they had successfully thwarted an IOF attempt to reach one of the detainees.

In a statement, they revealed the discovery of a special force as it attempted to advance to liberate the detainee, resulting in confrontations that led to the death of a soldier named Saar Baruch (25), and the injury of another.

The statement noted that IOF warplanes intervened with airstrikes to cover the withdrawal.

During the confrontation, Al-Qassam Brigades seized a rifle and communication equipment from the IOF soldier.
