Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi discussed during his meeting on Monday, with a delegation from the French Senate and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, efforts to stop the “Israeli” aggression on the Gaza Strip and warned of the serious repercussions of its continuation and the danger it poses to the security and stability of the region.
Safadi emphasized the urgent need to immediately stop the aggression and end the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip, warning of the consequences of the international community's continued failure to stop the war and implement international law and humanitarian law.
He addressed the danger of deepening the humanitarian catastrophe facing the Strip as a result of the continued “Israeli” prevention of sufficient aid amounts reaching Gaza and the obstruction of the United Nations organizations’ work in the Strip, especially the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
Safadi stressed that the danger of the war expanding regionally is real and increasing with the continuation of the occupation's aggression and its escalation of its illegal actions in the West Bank, which undermine the chances of achieving peace and increase terrorist attacks by settlers against innocent people, pushing towards further escalation.

He pointed out that the continuation of the aggression and the failure to stop it and implement international law reflects negatively on everyone and on the status and reputation of Western countries in the region.
Safadi affirmed that there is no alternative to ending the Israeli Occupation and meeting the rights of the Palestinian people, their right to freedom, and a sovereign state with its capital in occupied Jerusalem along the lines of June 4, 1967, based on the two-state solution, as a means to achieve security, stability, and peace for all countries in the region and their peoples.
Safadi briefed the delegations on Jordan's efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to stop the aggression, deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, and launch a real and effective movement to implement the two-state solution.
